Free-Holiday-Wi-Fi-Program

Climate Savers Computing Initiative is featured in Google’s Free Holiday Wi-Fi program that provides holiday travelers with the gift of free Wi-Fi in 47 of the nation’s airports through January 15, 2010. Once logged on to the networks in any of the participating airports, travelers can pass on the spirit of the season by making a donation to nonprofit Climate Savers Computing Initiative, which Google will match up to $250,000. By making a donation and pledging support to Climate Savers Computing, travelers will be joining the organization’s efforts to move toward a clean, sustainable economy through energy-efficient computing. For example, funds will help the organization’s Power Down for the Planet program deliver tools for reducing energy consumption to college and university students while educating the next generation of green IT leaders.
