Matthew C. Banks, Senior Program Officer Business & Industry Program World Wildlife Fund - US Matt Banks works in World Wildlife Fund’s Business & Industry Program on climate change initiatives. He works with businesses and other stakeholders to build awareness and adoption of progressive corporate climate management strategies through Climate Savers, a voluntary program mobilizing companies to set world-class greenhouse gas reduction goals. Before joining WWF, Matt worked for AtKisson, Inc., where he developed sustainability indicators for the Island of Nantucket, the city of Pittsburgh, and the Trust for Public Land. Matt has also worked for the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) and was responsible for launching the greenhouse gas emissions inventory and local action planning process for the city of Boston, Massachusetts. Matt’s experience as a consultant at Eastern Research Group, included work with clients on topics ranging from fuel cells, vehicle emissions testing, corporate energy efficiency, and emerging remediation technologies. Additionally, he has worked for the Conservation Law Foundation, National Audubon Society, Maine State Planning Office and the U.S. |

General Manager of Infrastructure Services, Microsoft Arne has been with Microsoft for 22 years and is currently responsible for the strategy, design and operation of the online infrastructure that forms the foundation for Microsoft's online businesses. His areas of responsibility include: global data centers, networks, hardware and operating systems standards; and foundational shared system level services such as caching, load balancing, DNS, Active Directory, back-up/restore, remote management access, and content replication. In his time at the company he has held technical leadership roles in a number of areas, starting as a Technical Manager on the team that built the Nordic subsidiary. He has worked in Product Support Services, leading OEM and ISV customer teams and OEM hardware compatibility certification; as well as leadership roles in Information Technology managing customer systems applications and IT infrastructure. |

Charles Michael (Mike) Pierce |
Director of Environmental Affairs, Lenovo Mike Pierce is Director of Environmental Affairs, for Lenovo, and is based in Morrisville, North Carolina. In this role, he leads all the environmental activities for the global organization. Lenovo is an innovative, international technology company formed as a result of the acquisition of the IBM Personal Computing Division by the Lenovo Group. Prior to joining Lenovo with the purchase of IBM's Personal Computer Division in May 2005, Mr. Pierce had more than 37 years experience with IBM, including 28 years of management experience in product development and business management. Executive positions included Director of Manufacturing and Development for Retail Store Solutions, General Manager of the Retail Store Solutions business unit, and Director of Operations for the desktop PC business. Mr. Pierce was a 1967 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Engineering, with graduate work at the University of Alabama, Huntsville, and North Carolina State University. |

Christopher Ratcliffe is Director of Solutions and Services Marketing at Dell, and is currently based in Austin, Texas. Green Energy Czar, Google Vice President, Climate Savers Computing Initiative Bill Weihl is Green Energy Czar at Google, where he leads efforts in energy efficiency and renewable energy, and also manages the company's greenhouse-gas footprint. He has extensive business and technical experience in high-tech, including ten years as a professor of Computer Science at MIT, five years as a research scientist at Digital's Systems Research Center, and five years as Chief Architect and then CTO of Akamai Technologies. |

General Manager, Eco-Technology Program Office, Intel Corporation President, Climate Savers Computing Initiative Lorie Wigle leads Intel's Eco-Technology effort which is focused on the sustainable manufacturing and usage of Intel's products. This corporate-wide function drives Intel's market position across energy efficient performance and design for the environment. In this capacity Lorie also drives external programs related to client, server and data center efforts including Intel's participation in The Green Grid and Climate Savers Computing Initiative. Prior to this position, Lorie was the Director of Server Technology and Initiatives Marketing for Intel. In that role, she and her team were responsible for Intel Virtualization Technology offerings as well as Intel Dynamic Power Technology and other advanced platform capabilities. Her organization also drove industry engagement on memory and I/O for server platforms. Lorie has been with Intel for 23 years in a wide variety of Marketing and Product Planning roles and was the General Manager of Intel's Internet Imaging Services group. She has an MBA from Portland State University and a BA degree from the University of Oregon. |

Vice President, Social and Environmental Responsibility, Hewlett Packard Pat Tiernan joins Climate Savers Computing with more than 15 years experience in technology, most recently driving sustainability strategy and execution at HP. Before joining Climate Savers Computing, Pat Tiernan served on the Initiative’s board of directors as a representative of HP. At HP, Pat Tiernan was the vice president of Social and Environmental Responsibility, running the company’s sustainability programs. He joined HP in 1995 and has held a number of senior management positions in sales, marketing, product development/R&D and operations. Prior to joining HP, he helped launch a successful networking and software company and managed a global device business with an industrial technologies company where he developed and launched new products for automotive emissions compliance, patient monitoring and other commercial and consumer products. Pat Tiernan holds a Masters in Science from California State Polytechnic University. |
