What you can do: Making some simple changes to your computer’s power management settings is an easy and inexpensive way to make a difference in your environmental impact. Why

Did you know? As long as they are plugged in, your computer and other electronic devices continue to use electricity – even when they are turned off or in standby mode. A computer uses up to 10 watts when it is turned off but still plugged in.² Fun Fact: You can reduce your electricity bills by as much as 10% by unplugging appliances and electronics when they are not in use.³ What you can do: Plug all your electronics into one power strip so you can easily switch them all off when you leave the room or go to sleep.
