Meet Climate Savers Computing at The Green Grid Forum 2012!

As an Alliance member of The Green Grid (TGG), we’re looking forward to participating in the 5th annual Green Grid Forum taking place in San Jose,CA on March 6 – 7. The event is bringing industry leaders together to provide attendees with an in-depth look at the trends and emerging tools, metrics, best practices, and case studies to help technical, sustainability and business decision makers move “Resource Efficient IT” forward. Some of this year’s exciting sessions include:
  • DataCenterLife Cycle Analysis
  • EMEA Energy Policy Legislation Update
  • IT Recycling Metric for Enterprises andDataCenters
  • Plotting a Path to Sustainability with The Green Grid’sDataCenterMaturity Model and Assessment Tool
  • Making the Business Case for Measuring PUE
While the speaker’s list is still growing, some of the confirmed keynotes include Bob Cashner (Senior Vice President of the Corporate Properties Group at Wells Fargo), Aaron Davis (Chief Marketing Officer at Schneider Electric), and Chandrakant Patel (Senior Fellow and Director of the Sustainable Ecosystems Research Group at HP). On March 7, I’ll be hosting a roundtable at the Forum where I will discuss how Climate Savers Computing works with The Green Grid and review some of our 2012 focus areas. These include continuing to drive the use of power management on laptops, PCs and servers, the deployment of more energy efficient computing and networking technologies, and collaborating with industry and other organizations to advance the development of greener public and private clouds based on sustainable ICT and energy efficient power supplies.
This year we’re excited to see that TGG is offering its Affiliate organizations a discount on registration.
